This memory of a squandered life and wounded hearts, this memory of wasted love and misery, this memory of stepping out of the depths of who I had become, toward a loving God, and allowing myself to be re-created in the design of my Lord. This is why I cried in a restaurant.

Jesus didn’t attack the people in the temple, he drove them out. He separated them from the dangers, from the temptations and sin the had overtaken the Temple. He wasn’t furious at the people he was furious at the evil that had over taken his temple and was corrupting his people.

Guilty I will not be

These ‘political and religous postering arguements’ are what (I believe) to be the very thing that tweaked Jesus’ patience. Jesus had very little patience for those who stood stronger on proving themselves right or judging another man’s love than on loving one another.
